This conference is a unique 2-day opportunity for community members, activists, policymakers, academics, and other stakeholders to come together and engage in a meaningful dialogue about the impact of gentrification on our communities. We aim to explore strategies for preventing displacement and creating vibrant, thriving communities where everyone can live, work, and play.

A community-driven organization that works to establish and promote permanently affordable, equitable housing in Rochester, ensuring development without displacement by empowering neighbors, having the community both own and manage land, and bridging socioeconomic divisions.
What to Expect
Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, we will examine the root causes of gentrification and explore ways to resist and reform the systems that perpetuate it. We will also highlight successful community-driven initiatives that have prevented displacement and fostered economic, social, and cultural development.
